IMTS 2026 is almost here! Short for the International Manufacturing Technology Show, IMTS is the largest manufacturing technology trade event in the Western Hemisphere. The event is owned and produced by AMT—The Association for Manufacturing Technology.
Held biannually in even-numbered years, the 2026 expo will run from September 14–19 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, featuring 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space. Approximately 90,000 visitors will tour over 2,000 exhibitors from various metal fabrication-related technologies, such as CNC machining, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, software, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Returning in Style: Revolution Machine Tools
One of those exhibitors, Revolution Machine Tools, is back again at this year’s show with select items from their wide lineup of metalworking equipment. The machine in question is an RMT S-ECO™ PDM 9-12 Bandsaw, a manual, double miter, pivot-type saw with a 9″ x 12″ cutting capacity in rectangular workpieces and a 9″ diameter capacity in round workpieces. The machine has a hydraulic cutting feed and a manual lift following the cut. The material is manually driven up to the stop, and the cut can be repeated. It makes angled cuts between 45° to the right and 60° to the left.
The S-ECO™ PDM 9-12 comes equipped with a control panel, a blade brush, a material length stop, hydromechanical blade tensioning, a security switch, a coolant pump, an infinite variable speed inverter, and a single phase 220-volt motor. As an additional bonus, the saw is equipped with a DropsA® MQL System and comes with a one-year supply of premium MaXtreme oil, a non-toxic lubricant a specially developed for the system.
MQL stands for Minimum Quantity Lubrication, a process that focuses on reducing friction precisely at the point where the cutting edge of the blade interfaces the workpiece, rather than the traditional method of flooding the entire part with liquid. Relying on the metal chips to carry away most of the cutting heat instead of a liquid bath, the DropsA® MLQ System uses compressed air to atomize the oil into a fine, targeted micro-mist.
The DropsA® MLQ System uses a fraction of the liquid of a flood coolant system, drastically reducing the expenses of coolant purchase, maintenance, and disposal. The system delivers consistent lubrication that can improve surface quality and machining tolerances, while preventing the thermal shock caused by cold liquid hitting hot tools, which improves overall tool durability.

The 2026 Spotlight Machines
